Your Apple Watch is an incredibly resilient piece of technology. It has to be! Not only will folks take their Apple Watches for the occasional swim or dip in the dish-filled sink, it spends quite a bit of its time pressed against your oil-laden, sweat-covered skin. Over time, you'll find that your Apple Watch gets coated in all kinds of grub and grime but it doesn't have to stay that way! With a bit of elbow grease and just a few moments of your time, you can have a sparkling clean Apple Watch again!

Before we begin, I want to point out that Apple says you should avoid using soap, cleaning products, abrasive materials, compressed air, and heating devices (like a hair dryer) when you clean your Apple Watch. That said, I've used mild cleaning products and soap to clean a number of Apple devices without issue. I would suggest avoiding abrasive materials and heating devices at all costs. Apple explains why:

Apple Watch is manufactured with extreme care and precision, while leveraging state-of-the-art technology to provide the best customer experience. To ensure the watch maintains all functionality and to keep a consistent finish across the enclosure and external components, Apple does not recommend polishing or buffing the watch with abrasives.


Unless you've got a seriously grimy Apple Watch, all you're going to need is a microfiber cloth and some water.

Do not clean your Apple Watch while it's connected to the charger. Fresh, purified water — especially distilled water — is your best choice for cleaning your Apple Watch. Purified waters contain less chemical compounds (other than H2O) so they're far less likely to interfere with the electrical components of your Apple Watch.
Turn off your Apple Watch.
Dampen your (nonabrasive) microfiber cloth with some water and wipe clean your Apple Watch.

Dry your Apple Watch with a microfiber cloth.


How to clean your Apple Watch's Digital Crown

If you've ever gone to spin the Digital Crown on your Apple Watch only to find it resisting movement or sticking, this is how you remedy the situation!
Turn off your Apple Watch.
Turn on your faucet and adjust the temperature until the water is warm.
Hold the Digital Crown under the stream of water for about 10 to 15 seconds. If you've got a leather band on your Apple Watch, remove it before sticking your Watch in the water. Nylon, metal, and fluoroelastomer bands are fine.
While it's under the stream of water, turn and press the Digital Crown. As long as water is running between the space in between your Apple Watch's housing and the Digital Crown, you should be able to dislodge any debris with this technique.

Dry your Apple Watch with a microfiber cloth.

Just like the Apple Watch itself, your Apple Watch bands are likely to get grimy over time — especially if they're porous. You can give your bands a nice, thorough cleaning with these techniques!

In the interest of limiting wear and tear or accidental damage, Apple is pretty conservative in its suggestions for cleaning your Apple Watch bands. Here's what the company recommends:

For the leather portions of the bands, wipe them clean with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth, lightly dampened with fresh water (if necessary). After cleaning, let the band air dry thoroughly before re-attaching to Apple Watch. Don't store leather bands in direct sunlight, at high temperatures, or in high humidity. Don't soak leather bands in water. Leather bands are not water resistant. For all other bands and clasps, wipe them clean with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth, lightly dampened with fresh water (if necessary). Dry the band thoroughly with a nonabrasive, lint-free cloth before re-attaching to Apple Watch. Stainless steel bands are not water resistant.

In my experience, a lightly dampened cloth was not enough to clean away the dirt, lint, and grime that collected on my most worn band (a black woven nylon band that, sadly, Apple doesn't offer anymore). With the knowledge that it runs counter to Apple's official recommendations for cleaning your bands, here's what I do to clean my nylon Apple Watch bands (for metal and leather bands, I adhere to Apple's guidelines).
Gather your supplies:
Some paper towels
Your nylon Apple Watch bands
A bowl
Warm water
A spare toothbrush with soft bristles
Mild soap
Add the warm water and a touch of mild soap to the bowl.
Drop your nylon Apple Watch bands in the warm water and allow them to sink to the bottom of the bowl.
Remove your nylon Apple Watch bands from the bowl shortly after they sink to the bottom (this means they're saturated with water).
Place your nylon Apple Watch bands on the paper towel(s) and gently brush the surface of your bands with the soft-bristle toothbrush.
Repeat steps 3 - 5 for particularly pesky grime.
Dry your nylon Apple Watch bands by patting them with a dry paper towel (do not scrub).

Allow your nylon Apple Watch bands to air dry (can take up to several hours).

Der klangvolle Modellname lautet Autovia - und lässt so manchen Vintage-Kenner aufhorchen. Denn: Vintage-Uhren mit dieser Bezeichnung sind sehr beliebt und über die letzten 10-15 Jahre im Preis enthalten. Zum Teil werden für alte Heuer Autovias fünfstufige Preise eingeführt. Und bezahlt. Der Run auf diese Vintage-Uhren ist ... bemerkenswert.

Es passt auch, dass Tag Heuer sich nach der neuen Ausgabe der Heuer Monza nun der glaubwürdigen Autavia angepasst und ein Retro-Modell auf den Markt gebracht hat. Lässt sich mit dieser Geschichte nicht zufrieden sein, die Beliebheit und Begierlichkeit der Vintage-Modelle anknüpfen. Und das Beste: Man muss einen fünfstelligen Auftrag dafür auf den Tisch legen.
Der Autovia-Cup - Tag Heuer läst Fans über das Design abstimmen

Nun muss Ihr wissen, dass es 2003 eine Neuauflage der Autavia gab (Ref. CY2111 und CY2110 - ebay-Partnerlinks). Die kam damals aber eher mittelmäßig bis nicht so gut ein - am wenigsten lasst sich das in Foren Forenberichte und Blogartikeln nachlesen. Ich hoffe, dass das nicht wiederholt, hat Tag Heuer unter der Leitung von CEO Jean-Claude Biver einen Aufruf auf der Baselworld 2016 gestartet. Beim Autovia Cup konnten die Fans-Fans weltweit von den 16 Autovia-Varianten im Jahr 2017 abweichen (siehe auch hier und hier ). Diese Variante nennt Autavia 2446 MK3 und den Beinamen "Rindt" (hat nach dem Rennfahrer Jochen Rindt ) den Hut gewonnen:



Zu diesem Tag ist Heuer um die Leute gekümmert und ihr Feedback einholt, die am meisten über diese Uhren und die Vintage-Szene wissen: Uhrenblogger und Sammler. Unter anderm um die empfehlswerten Heuer-Blogs OnTheDash und Calibre 11 (wie das hier aussah - siehe hier) .

Kurzum: Tag Heuer Hut, nach eigenen Angaben , über 50.000 Stimmen von Uhrenfans eingesammelt, Uhrenblogger und Uhrensammler von Beginn an einbunden, um die neue Autovia auf den Markt zu bringen. Und wenn ich das Ergebnis anschaue, dann laut das Urteil: Gut gemacht!









Sie wird aufpassen, dass es sich hier um 1: 1-Kopie der Vintage-Autovia handelt, um eine Neu-Interpretation. Wesentlich Elemente wie das Zifferblatt-Design mit den weißen Totalisatoren (Hilfszifferblätter im sog. "Reverse Panda" -Stil), Zeiger und Lünette mit 12er Markierung hat Tag Heuer noch nicht veröffentlicht. Am auffälligsten dürfte das etwas andere Gehäuse sein. Es hat das Gefühl, dass Retro-Touch, aber nicht ganz das kleine Gehäuse der Autavia 2446 MK3. Und wer noch etwas genauer ist, wird die weitere kleine Unterschieden feststehen. Unter anderem hat die Autavia 2017 eine Datumsanzeige auf der "6" bekommen.

Die Kamera zur Verfügung gestellt Autovia kam mit Lederband (Ref. CBE2110.FC8226) . Noch etwas eindrücklicher finde ich sie tatsächlich mit Metallband (Ref. CBE2110.BA0687 - Pressefotos):

This Version with sognanned panda -Dial ist nach dem ehemaligen Chef des Unternehmens, Jack Heuer , der in diesem Jahr seinen 85. Geburtstag gefeiert. Die Beschränkung entspricht seinem Geburtsjahr 1932.

An der Autavia "Jack Heuer" kann ich einfach nicht sehen. Auf der Baselword hatte ich sie selbst in der Hand und kurz am Arm. Sie ist dermaßen gut gelungen. Unglaublich.

Ich würde gerne auch die limitierte Version sehen, wenn Sie nach einem (Retro-) Chronographen sucht und ein Budget von ca. 5.000 Euro hat. Zum einen ist das natürlich das grandiose Design. Zum anderen ist es so, dass auch eine eingeschränkte Version, die - im Gegensatz zu anderen - eine tatsächliche Begehrenheit erwartet. In meinen Augen könnte diese Uhr eine gute Geldanlage sein. War doch erstmal in ein paar Jahren zeigen dürfte. Nur so ein Bauchgefühl. Total spekulativ und unbegründet;) Deswegen nur als vorsichtigen Tipp: Das Thema Wertsteigerung ist aktuell. Erst Recht, wenn Mann sich anschaut, die Entwicklung der Vintage-Uhren von Heuer hat begonnen.
Der Preis: Tag Heuer Autavia 2017

Kommen wir auch zu den Preisen der neuen Autovia. Das gesetzte Limit dieser Artikelreihe liegt bei 5.000 Euro. Und die halten wir auch ein. Schnell;) Die unverbindliche Preisempfehlung der Autovia 2017 mit Lederband liegt bei 4.600 Euro , die Variante mit Metallband liegt bei 4.750 Euro . Sprich: Ihr sagt nur für das Metallband nur 150 Euro mehr. Meine Wahl fiel sofort auf die Variante mit Metallband gefallen. Ein Original-Metallband später bzw. trennen nachkaufen, wäre ungleich teurer.
Die " Jack Heuer Special Edition " liegt natürlich über unsere gesetzte Preisgrenze - bei 5.250 Euro. Aber wie so oft ich auch hier den Tipp, sich im Netz ein wenig umzuschauen. Es gibt genügend Kunden, die Online-Händler und Juweliere bei diesen Menschen besuchen können. In einem Schnell-Check habe ich die Stunde für 4.000 Euro gesehen. In den meisten Fällen wird es eine Zeit von einem Wochenende geben - für einen Mann aber nicht das festgelege Budget.

Und die erste Neuauflage aus dem Jahr 2003, die natürlich auch auf eBay unter dem Suchwort Autovia (Partnerlink) ordentlich stöbern. Bitte achtet nur darauf, dass Ihre Verkäuferin Verkäufer / Händler kauft. (Vintage) Heuer-Uhren sind sehr beliebt - so wie es sich gehört.

Noch ein interessanter Hinweis: Tag Heuer hat dieses Jahr einen " Uhren-Tuner " - das eine oder andere bekannte Bamford Watch Department . Dort könnte Ihr Eure eigene Tag Heuer bzw. Autavia selbst gestalten . Das Motto lautet: Wenn du es dir vorstellen kannst - wir können es schaffen.

Ich habe das mal ausprobiert. So sieht es dann aus:



Auch nicht schlecht, oder? Also eine Autavia kostet dann aber gleich etwas mehr ... 7.000 Pfund (knapp 8.000 Euro).
